Starlings Nursery
Program
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela
Curriculum
We offer a wide and varied curriculum in a safe and inviting environment for children aged between 2 and 5 years old.
Starlings Nursery follow the curriculum and standards for the Early Years Foundation Stage. All activities are carefully planned and delivered to ensure children are able to progress through the EYFS Development Matters indicators and to ensure that each child is ready for the transition to primary school.
We believe that children learn through play. At Starlings Nursery they are encouraged to become independent and are nurtured, so that they gain confidence and the self-esteem to try new things, persevere with a task and develop effective skills for learning.
Keyworker
Your child will be allocated a member of staff who has responsibility for developing a trusting and caring relationship with you and your child. This person is called a Keyworker. Your child's key worker will ensure your child is developing a range of new skills and is settled and happy. They will share information with you, about your child's achievements, on a regular basis.
It is important that children feel they 'belong' and their key worker will ensure new children are settled into the group as quickly and easily as possible. Parents are encouraged to visit with their child prior to children starting nursery. This helps to build up their child's confidence in this new environment.
Children need to feel they have someone they can rely on and their key worker will take a special interest in them, ensuring they are happy and enjoying their nursery experience.
